Products and services
We aim to stock a good range of essential and everyday products, much of which comes from local suppliers. We have occasional gifts and there's a seasonal flavour to our stock at Christmas, Easter and over the summer.
We are always keen to hear your feedback and suggestions on what we sell. If we don't have what you are looking for, or you're searching for something special, please let us know and we'll do our best to source it.
Post Office Local
Our Post Office has a small but dedicated team of staff. We cannot offer every service that the larger branches do, but we provide all the essentials, such as stamps and parcels (Royal Mail and Parecelforce), Amazon parcel collection and returns, banking, foreign currency, bill payments, gas and electricity top-ups and car tax renewal. We also sell a range of envelopes, parcel bags and boxes.
The Post Office is available daily, 10.30am-1.00pm and 1.30pm - 4.00pm (Mon-Fri) and 9.00am-12.30pm (Sat).
Local produce
Local produce
We love being able to support local producers and many of them supply our shop. They include Drapers Bakery, Tewkesbury, Pritchards Butcher, Fownhope, Bentley's Farm in Newent, Sandford Farm, Upton Bishop, Lodge Farm Kitchen in Ross-on-Wye and Hillbrooks dairy in Kempley.
In the summer we sell fresh flowers and bedding plants from local suppliers and we also stock honey and marmalade made by local residents. Sometimes our customers bring surplus home-grown produce to the shop to sell in return for a donation.
Essentials and groceries
The village shop comes into its own when the urgent essentials have run out.
It could be bread, milk or eggs, a lunchtime snack, tonight's tea or breakfast for tomorrow.
We also have a small selection of medicines, such as pain-killers, antiseptic cream and cough remedies.
Greeting cards
We have a wide range of greeting cards to suit all ages, tastes and occasions.
And when you've made your choice, you can buy the stamp - and maybe a Gift card?! - from the Post Office and send it on its way!

We hold all the main national daily newspapers, the local and regional papers and a selection of magazines.
You can reserve them for collection if you like, and we are happy to order if you are looking for something we don't routinely stock.

What better reason to call in to the local shop than to give yourself or a loved one a treat?
We have a wide range of cakes, biscuits and sweets - including a small selection of vegan and gluten-free biscuits - and our pick-and-mix is always very popular, particularly with our younger customers!
We always have ice cream in stock, too, whether you're looking for your favourite lolly or an individual or family-sized tub, made in the neighbouring village. The hard part will be deciding which flavour to choose!
